CBOT Exchange Charts

Being established in 1848, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) is one of the worlds oldest futures and options exchanges. The exchange started out offering only agricultural commodities but now offers the trading of more than 50 different options and futures contracts on a wide range of products. In 2007, the CBOT merged with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) along with two other exchanges (NYMEX & COMEX) to form the CME group. This emergence brought the new product offerings of interest rates and agricultural and equity index products.

Cboe/CBOT 10-year U.S. Treasury Note Volatility Index (TYVIXSM)
This chart utilizes the infamous VIX methodology to calculate and measure the expected volatility of 10-year Treasury Note futures prices over a constant 30-day period. The Index is calculated from the transparent real-time pricing of the CBOT’s options on the T-Note futures. This charting Index is the most important Index offered by the CBOT because it is the first comparative reference point for the US Treasury Market.
