COMEX Exchange Charts

COMEX, formerly known as the Commodity Exchange Inc. is the single largest futures and options market for the trading of precious metals. The exchange merged with the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) in 1994 and joined the Chicago Mercantile Exchange & Chicago Board of Trade (CME Group) in 2008. The exchange is the most liquid metals market in the world with the execution of over 400,000 futures and options contracts daily. The exchange has a massive impact on the worlds metals markets and influences the prices greatly. The primary precious metals traded on COMEX include gold, silver, aluminum, copper, palladium, platinum, and steel. All of the trades on these precious metals are simply contracts, the investor never actually owns the physical metal being traded, but rather the futures or options contract.
