HKEX Exchange Charts

The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) operates the stock and futures markets in Hong Kong through it’s subsidiaries; the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) and the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE). HKEX also operates four clearing houses in Hong Kong, provides market data through HKEX Information Services Limited, and owns the London Metal Exchange. All these divisions were merged together under HKEX in the year 2000, when the HKEX was launched and became a publicly traded company.

The creation of HKEX was meant to increase China’s competitiveness in the global markets by trading stocks, bonds, warrants, mutual funds, ETFs, and equity linked instruments. The exchange now features nearly 2000 companies listed on HKEX’s securities markets and implements stringent standards for companies to be listed. For instance, to be traded on HKEX’s main board, companies must have a trading record minimum of 3 consecutive years, a minimum market capitalization of HK$100 million, and 25% of its securities owned by the public. With this in mind, the charting indexes provided by HKEX primarily include high quality and successful companies.
