NYSE American, formerly known as the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) has gone through quite a few rebrands over the years and is now known as NYSE American as of 2016. The NYSE American is an American Stock Exchange which was established in 1908 as a New York based Curb Market Agency. The exchange literally operated on the streets of New York City until they moved in doors in the 1920s.
