Homasote Company manufactures and sells building and industrial products for use in various construction and manufacturing industries. It operates through two divisions, Millboard and Industrial. The Millboard division provides wall and floor sound insulation products, roof and floor deckings, concrete expansion joints and forming boards, finished interior panels, and ice arena coverings. The Industrial division offers various shapes and coated strips for product separation and breakage reduction, and custom designed packaging that protects customer’s products during interplant transport primarily for users in glass, paper, and steel sectors, as well as provides products to end-users, appliance manufacturers, and office furniture makers. The company also provides wood fiberboards; and industrial packaging products, including separators. Its products are used in various applications that include sound control, basement and concrete slab conversions, cathedral ceilings, fire-rated products, concrete formings, decorative/tackable panels, floors, floor/surface protection products, hobbies, house and workshops, ice rink conversions, roofs and ceilings, shock absorptions, thermal insulations, and walls, as well as in the construction and renovation of family dwellings, commercial office buildings, educational facilities, and retail establishments. The company serves building material wholesalers and contractors, and industrial manufacturers in the United States. It also exports its products to Canada and other countries. Homasote Company was founded in 1909 and is based in West Trenton, New Jersey.
