Mainova AG provides electricity, natural gas, heat, and water for private and business customers in Germany. It supplies natural gas to 16 cities and municipalities in Hesse, Bavaria, and Thuringia; and generates and supplies electricity through 11 combined heat and power plants with 7.8 MW thermal and 5.5 MW electrical power, as well as through wind power, photovoltaic, and biomass sources. The company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Mainova AG is a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Frankfurt Am Main Holding Gmbh.
