NKT A/S designs, manufactures, and markets power cables for low-, medium-, and high-voltage solutions in Europe and internationally. The company offers high voltage AC/DC offshore and onshore cables, and accessories; medium and low voltage power cables; building wires; and telecom cables, as well as railway cables. In addition, it offers fiber lasers, photonic crystal fibers, and distributed temperature systems for a range of industries, including life sciences and energy. The company was formerly known as NKT Holding A/S and changed its name to NKT A/S in May 2017. NKT A/S was founded in 1891 and is based in Brøndby, Denmark.
