PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the plantation business in Indonesia. It also develops plantations on behalf of local smallholders. As of December 31, 2017, the company had a total planted area of 115,695 hectares comprising 95,622 hectares of palm oil; 16,235 hectares of rubber; and 3,838 hectares of cocoa, tea, and other crops in North Sumatra, South Sumatra, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Java. In addition, the company manages oil palm and rubber plantations covering an area of 34,701 hectares under the plasma program. Further, it is involved in the research, processing, trading, marketing, industrial, and agency/representative activities; and invests in agricultural technology and cultivation, as well as agriculture, forestry, and fishery businesses. Additionally, it exports its products. The company was founded in 1906 and is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.
