Public Joint Stock Company Rosneft Oil Company, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, development, production, and sale of crude oil and gas in Russia and internationally. It operates in Exploration and Production, and Refining and Distribution segments. The company produces oil in Western and Eastern Siberia, Timan Pechora, Central Russia, southern part of European Russia, and the Russian Far East; and has interests in various projects in Western Siberia and Russian Far East, as well as participates in various projects in Vietnam, Venezuela, Brazil, Norway, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Canada, and Turkmenistan. It is also involved in producing petrochemicals, including ethylene, propylene, and polyethylene, as well as gas processing, petrochemistry, and organic synthesis products; and lubricants, such as passenger car oils, commercial transport and machinery oils, industrial oils, base oils, general-purpose and special-purpose greases, lubricant additives and additive packages, and diesel fuel anti-wear additives. In addition, the company transports and exports crude oil through pipelines, and railway and mixed transportation; engages in the wholesale, retail, storage, and transportation and transshipment of petroleum products; and provides bunkering and aircraft refueling services, as well as bitumen products. Further, it operates a retail network of company-owned and leased filling stations; and provides survey and drilling services. The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Moscow, Russia. Public Joint Stock Company Rosneft Oil Company is a subsidiary of OJSC Rosneftegaz.
