The Capital Formation segment provides listings and other issuer services. This segment operates the Toronto Stock Exchange, a national stock exchange serving the senior equities market; TSX Venture Exchange, a national stock exchange serving the public venture equity market; TSX Private Markets, a registered exempt market dealer; and TSX Trust, a provider of corporate trust, registrar, transfer agency, and foreign exchange services. The Derivatives Trading & Clearing segment engages in trading, clearing, and licensing its technology to BOX Market LLC, an exchange for the United States equity options trading. This segment operates Montréal Exchange, a national derivatives exchange; and Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation, a clearinghouse for options and futures contracts, as well as other over-the-counter products and fixed income repurchase agreements. The Equities and Fixed Income Trading & Clearing segment offers equities and fixed income trading, clearing, settlement, and depository services. This segment operates the trading activities of Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, and TSX Alpha Exchange; CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc., an automated facility for the clearing and settlement of equities and fixed income transactions, as well as the custody of securities in Canada; and Shorcan Brokers Limited, a fixed income inter-dealer broker. The company was formerly known as Maple Group Acquisition Corporation and changed its name to TMX Group Limited in August 2012. TMX Group Limited is based in Toronto, Canada.
