Tyman plc, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and supplies engineered components to the door and window industry in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Australasia. It operates through three divisions: AmesburyTruth, ERA, and SchlegelGiesse. The AmesburyTruth division manufactures window and door hardware components, extrusions, and sealing systems. It offers single and multipoint locking systems, casement and awning operators, handles, latches, hinges, rollers, balance systems, seals, and extruded profiles, as well as smoke vents, roof access hatches, and sidewalk doors for residential and commercial applications. The ERA division engages in the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of mechanical security and decorative hardware products, and weather seals, as well as electronic security systems, including wireless alarms, CCTV, and video for the residential building and home improvement markets under the ERA, and Fab & Fix brands. It is also involved in the sash window renovation business; and manufacture and distribution of commercial and light infrastructure floor and roof access covers. The SchlegelGiesse division engages in sealing and extrusion businesses. This segment offers its products under the Schlegel and Giesse brands for use in residential and commercial applications. The company was formerly known as Lupus Capital plc and changed its name to Tyman plc in February 2013. Tyman plc was incorporated in 1993 and is based in London, the United Kingdom.
