The Sharp segment provides contract and clinical trial packaging services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries; and serialization, and track and trace solutions. The Aquilant segment provides outsourced sale, marketing, engineering, and distribution services for medical and scientific devices in the areas of endoscopy, cardiology, radiology, surgical, and orthopaedics. The company was formerly known as United Drug plc and changed its name to UDG Healthcare plc in August 2013. UDG Healthcare plc was founded in 1948 and is based in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland.
