This segment operates a fleet of approximately 83,000 rail freight wagons. The Rail Logistics segment offers rail-related logistics solutions. This segment primarily engages in the transportation of mineral oil and chemical products, liquid gases, and industrial and agricultural goods in the form of block train, single-wagon, and wagon group transport, as well as leases wagons. It also provides project logistics services, including the transport of products for machinery and plant engineering sectors, as well as other tailored services to customers. The Tank Container Logistics segment organizes tank container transport of goods, as well as leases tank containers. This segment primarily transports liquid and temperature-controlled products of the chemical, mineral oil, and compressed gas industries through a fleet of approximately 8,800 tank containers. The company serves chemical, petroleum, automotive engineering and supplier, and paper industries. VTG Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.
